Austin Finan is a Vice President at Mercury in the New York offices. Specializing in Democratic campaign strategy and public affairs, Austin executes impactful campaigns for a variety of clients in politics and the private sector.
Prior to joining Mercury, Austin was a Political Associate at The Parkside Group where he gained experience in political communications, campaign management and elections research. Austin has worked and managed campaigns in New York at every level of government. His experience includes Mike Arcuri for Congress (2006, 2008), Ed Braunstein for State Assembly (2010), Jerry Iannece for City Council (2009).
In 2010, Austin served as Campaign Manager for Democrat Assemblyman Ed Braunstein’s winning campaign in Northeast Queens (District 26). Though the district had elected a Republican to the New York State Senate for more than 30 years - and is represented by a Republican in the New York City Council- Austin ran a successful race and secured a Democratic victory on Election Day.
Austin parlays his years of political experience into effective public affairs campaigns, executing strategic media and grassroots tactics for a variety of clients in highly regulated industries.
A graduate of Hamilton College in upstate New York, Mr. Finan received his B.A. in Government.
