Vanessa Frances Rodriguez is a Vice President of Mercury Public Affairs.
Prior to joining Mercury Public Affairs LLC, Vanessa served as Public Policy Manager for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the largest business association in Los Angeles County representing more than 1,600 member companies and serving the interests of more than 235,000 businesses across the Los Angeles region.
Leading the Chamber's advocacy efforts at Los Angeles City Hall during the worst recession since The Great Depression, Vanessa aggressively lobbied the Office of the Mayor and the City Council to adopt business friendly legislation and assisted in the implementation of such policies. In her capacity, Vanessa was called upon to testify before numerous governmental bodies including the California State Assembly, Los Angeles City Council, Los Angeles City Planning Commission and the Port of Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners.
A champion for preserving housing throughout the region, Vanessa serves on the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together- Greater Los Angeles. Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to protect affordable homeownership and revitalize communities.
An avid traveler, she has visited ten countries in ten years.
Vanessa is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
