Kevin Schuler
   Regional Director

Kevin Schuler is the Regional Director of the Western New York office for Mercury Public Affairs. He is responsible for maintaining and expanding Mercury’s client base in the Buffalo and Rochester regions.

Prior to joining Mercury, Kevin served as Vice President of Government Affairs at the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, the largest business organization in Upstate New York. Kevin’s main responsibility was to oversee all advocacy and public policy initiatives for the Partnership at the local, state and federal levels as well as conduct all activities of the Partnership’s Political Action Committee.

Kevin returned to the Buffalo Niagara region in 1999 as Executive Director of the Niagara Business Alliance. Prior to that, Kevin worked in Albany for the State Legislature for eight years. He worked in communications in the State Assembly under then-Minority Leader Tom Reynolds (now a member of Congress) before moving to the State Senate to work for Senator Nicholas Spano of Westchester County.

Kevin serves as Chairman of the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency and is on the Board of Leadership Niagara (who honored him as Alumni of the Year in 2002) and the USA Niagara Development Corporation Advisory Panel. Kevin previously served on the Niagara County Charter Commission, the Niagara County Workforce Investment Board and as a district coordinator for Kids Voting.

Kevin is a graduate of the University at Buffalo. He, his wife Julie – a kindergarten teacher in the Newfane Central School District – and their daughter Allison reside in the Town of Pendleton.
